Early Morning Surprise: Dog Discovers Unexpected Visitor.

Tracy, a pet owner from Western Washington, was accustomed to unusual visitors at her home.

Despite owning two cats and a dog named Nelson, Tracy was surprised by an unexpected visitor one morning.

At 5:30 a.m., Nelson woke her up to go potty, and when he returned, asking his mom to let him back in the house, Tracy noticed that he wasn’t alone…

Unexpected Visitor

Nelson wagged his tail cheerfully, seemingly unfazed by the early hour.

Nelson waited patiently for Tracy to open the door, unaware of the shock his unexpected guest would cause.

As Tracy opened the door, she heard a noise from the porch and turned to see two glowing eyes staring at her. Startled and unprepared for an unexpected visitor, she froze.

Then, she realized – it was Dozer, their neighbor’s dog!

“Nelson woke me up at 5:30 a.m., and when he came back inside, he had a surprise guest,” Tracy explained in the video.

Dozer, a frequent visitor, often rings the doorbell, asking to be let inside. Tracy, used to his visits, was surprised to see him accompanied by an unexpected guest.

You Never Know When It’s ‘Dozer Time’

Three years ago, while tending to chores in her garage, Tracy was surprised by an unexpected visitor. A friendly dog named Dozer appeared, wagging his tail and seeking attention.

Tracy rewarded Dozer with a treat and a cuddle, after which he wandered off.

Ever since that moment, he regularly visits Tracy and her family, but hangs around for much more than just a treat.

Dozer has adjusted to the entire family, including Nelson and the cats. He normally walks inside the house after Tracy lets him in, gets a treat, a cuddle, and then takes a long nap in a room of his own choosing.

Sometimes, he even stays the night and hangs out with the entire family. However, every time after that, Dozer requests them to let him out and then walks away to his original family.

According to Tracy, he walks about half a mile to get to her home, and his owners are fully aware of it. Even though they don’t communicate much, Dozer’s hoomans are perfectly fine with him having a “second family,” especially knowing how loved he is there.

“He comes from about half a mile through farms and trees,” Tracy says in another video.

Today, it is safe to say that Dozer is an integral member of his Washington family. He already has owners who love him so much, but he likes to think that Tracy has room in her heart for him, too. And, to say that she has is an understatement!

He even has his own TikTok account where Tracy keeps posting his daily visits.

Tracy and the family love Dozer, and they hope his little “in between homes” adventure doesn’t overwhelm him.
“I do believe that Dozer is unique and he’s happy living between homes,” Tracy adds.
